The Soul Heal Healing Heroes Internship Program offers students the opportunity to work with seniors and learn about career opportunities in Healthcare.

Welcome to the SoulRapha Soul Healing Heroes Internship Program!
The Internship Program has two objectives:
Give students & young adults the opportunities to serve older adults in their community.
Give students the necessary resources and network to increase their career literacy in the field of Healthcare ie. EMT, Nurses Aid, Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Registered Nurse (RN), Aging care facility Management, psychologist, psychiatrist and more.
The Program is divided into 7 Steps:
Steps # 1 & 2: Students, young adults and Older Adult Mentors register to become part of the program
Student Groups will receive registration information form their organization.
Individual Student’s (Independent Internship Program) please contact us at heroes.soulrapha.org for a link to the registration and application form.
Older Adult Mentors can participate through the Activity Directors of their facilities.
Step # 3: Interns Enroll for the online SoulRapha Internship Program. The online course program includes:

SoulRapha is partnering with Santa Ana College (SAC) to help Interns learn more about advanced education in Healthcare.
Resources are provided through SAC.

(15-20 min) Communication is more important then ever when dealing with isolated and lonely seniors. It helps build relationships, solve problems, ensure understanding, resolve conflicts, and improve accuracy..
(10-15 min) The most important part of your conversation is to Be Present. Practice the listening skills from the last lesson. Keep your conversation focused on active listening and reflecting back to the resident. .
(5 hours) Interns get to experience the facility environment, mingle with the residents and meet their “Senior Mentors.” The concept of a “Senior Mentor” encourages the idea of learning from older adults. .
Interns share their experiences with their Senior Mentors on social media, in the community chat area and in a final document. They document what they learned, what they shared, what they can use for their future growth and development..
